…Skyr, the Icelandic ‘Quark’…
The first time I heard about the funny sounding ‘Skyr’ was while working out in a Hotel gym with an Icelandic collegue and as we were changing nutrition tips, she suddenly mentioned the Icelandic Dairy Product ‘Skyr’. Thank you Kristín María, for the great tip!
It was only years after when the first German producers of dairy products started to sell Icelandic Skyr in Germany.
Meanwhile the product is so established in German Market that Skyr, which is very rich in proteins, is one of my favourite daily products to feed hungry muscles after a hard work out.
